Non-surgical Hair Restoration

Non-surgical hair replacement provides a non-intrusive, permanent (24/7) attachment, enabling full participation in sporting and water activities with complete comfort and confidence.

Membrane Construction

Construction of the membrane layer involves creating a template, or mould, of the patients scalp. Producing an identical replication of the scalps contours forms an exact imprint of the replacement area.

Area specific scalp templates enable hair restoration in only the scalp areas subject to thinning or hair loss. Patients successfully restore temple recession, crown loss and diffuse thinning.

Bonding attachment

As with hair extensions, modern hair replacement techniques bond the hair replacement system to the scalps existing hair with a translucent, hypoallergenic medical adhesive. This provides a skin-tight adhesion with the perimeter of healthy terminal hairs, shaven to 2mm, surrounding the area requiring replacement. The procedure is painless, non-intrusive and the adhesive is resilient to sweat and water. Modern porous membranes allow the epidermis to breath and aid perspiration release and be penetrated by water.

Due to variances in individual scalp reaction to oil secretion, perspiration and susceptibility to heat, Apollo has access to, and carries out many various methods of attachment. Skin properties will decide upon the appropriate bond.

Hair fibre choice

To achieve perfection and a completely natural appearance, human hair of relevant ethnicity is the optimal fibre choice. Human fibre provides complete compatibility with all hair products including the latest waxes, gels and pastes. Additionally all grooming procedures acceptable to real hair can be used including straighteners, curling tongs and heated appliances.

Although synthetic hair fibre technology continues to advance, only occasionally is a specialist synthetic advised.

Professional Styling

Whilst modern technology has enabled the creation of the most fully realistic, undetectable hair replacement systems to date, one should not underestimate the importance attached to the creative skill of those performing the styling procedure. Specific training and hairdressing excellence is required to perform the procedure of designing, cutting and blending a hair replacement system with the patients existing hair. Our specialist is a world leading stylist with over 18 years experience.

An experienced stylist will give detailed attention to the membrane design, hair characteristics and design the directional implantation to accurately integrate with the existing hair. An undetectable finish is achieved by adding a life cycle to the hair by skilled thinning, tapering and reduced frontal density. Some temple recession and crown thinning may be necessary to perfect the overall realism.
